We are off again!

Following the outstanding sucess of the last 6 years!

Bradford-on-Avon Lions Club 

2024 runs! 

These will, again take place in the beautiful setting of the Tithe Barn, River Avon and the

Kennet & Avon Canal area of the town. 

Both events take place on Sunday 22nd September

The address?      Culver Close, Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire. BA15 1LF.

There are toilets, showers, changing facilities and storage.

Refreshments will be available

There is ample parking available nearby at the Bailey's Barn or Station car parks. 

The first warm-up Family Friendly fun event starts at 10.00am. This is a:

2K Run, Walk, Toddle or Push. 

Online entries £6  Entries on the day of the race will be £8  if there are places remaining.

This is an inclusive family friendly event - open to all - including those with young children and those with disabilities. Pushers go free!

The route is flat, along the tarmac path starting in Culver Close, then along the path past the bowls club. From there it is on to the river path to the water treatment works and back again.

All children will receive a ***medal*** and a ***Goody Bag***

 Trophies will be presented for the

Fastest Boy under 8     Fastest girl under 8

  Fastest Boy under 10   Fastest girl under 10   

  Fastest Boy under 12   Fastest girl under 12

(It is advised that all runners under 10 years old are accompanied by a responsible adult.)

The main event starts at 11.00am. This is a:

Online entries  £10. Entries on the day of the race will be £12 - if there are places remaining.

This is open all all those aged 10 and over.

The route starts with a circuit of the Culver Close playing field, then on past the bowls club and along the tarmac river path to the water treatment plant. Competitors then head right keeping to the river path on the grass to Avoncliff where they go up the zigzag path to the tow path of the picturesque Kennet & Avon canal. Here they turn back towards Bradford-on-Avon, running approx 1 kilometre along the tow path to the swing bridge where they re-join the river path and return to finish their run - with a final circuit of Culver Close to the finish line - cheered on their way by the watching crowd!

Please note that the part of the race along the canal path can get very muddy. Please take great care and wear appropriate footwear

All finishers will receive a ***medal*** and a  ***goody bag***

There will be trophies for 1st, 2nd & 3rd Fastest Male and Female as well as prizes for the

Fastest Male & Female  over 50  

Advance entries via Entry Central are strongly advised although booking on the day will be accepted if there are places remaining.
