Chilly Willy Trail Race

Join us for the Chilly Willy Trail Race which will be held on Sunday 15th January. The race starts at 11.00am

RACE ROUTE DESCRIPTION

The Chilly Willy Trail Race is a two lap race. The total distance is approx. 4.8 miles and the race is held on the trails and woodland paths within the beautiful surroundings of Lochore Meadows Country Park.  The race starts on the wide grass area near the old pit winding steam train and heads towards the Willie Clarke Centre before looping back towards the start area. The route then takes you into the woods and onto a variety of twisting trails and paths. This section of the route will be muddy in places so we would recommend wearing trail shoes. At the far end of the woods you emerge onto a short road section before picking up the main trail along the northern edge of the loch and head past the Willie Clarke Centre to where the race started before getting to do it all again!

CAR PARKING

There are plenty of parking spaces within the Lochore Meadows car parks.

TOILETS

Toilets are located within the Willie Clarke Visitor Centre.

WATER & FOOD

The race organiser is unable to provide any water at the race. Entrants should arrange their own drinks. Please support the Lochside Cafe which serves hot & cold drinks, snacks & hot filled rolls.

BIB NUMBER COLLECTION & MEDALS

Bib number pick-up is at the Willie Clarke Visitior Centre. Medals will be handed out when you collect your bib number.

CHANGING FACILITIES

There will be no changing facilities so please come ready to run.

BAGGAGE

There will be no baggage storage. Entrants should leave any belongings in their own vehicles or make other arrangements.

RACE RESULTS & PRIZES

We will attempt to give out as many prizes as possible as soon as runners cross the line. Results will be posted online later the same day. 

PRIZES

1st, 2nd & 3rd overall males & females. Also male & female age categories - 1st Over 40, 1st Over 50, 1st Over 60 & 1st over 70.

PRE-ENTRY ONLY. NO ENTRIES ON THE DAY.

Our events are insured and permitted by the Governing Body Association of Runninùg Clubs and are held Under ARC Rules.

ENTRY FEE : £10.00 for all runners 

SORRY NO ENTRY FEE REFUNDS OR DEFFERALS - We will however allow number transfers up until 7 days before the date of the race. All transfer details should be arranged between the runners involved before notifying the Race Organiser of ALL CHANGES.   

Under NO circumstances whatsoever should you run with another person's bib number.
