We are very pleased to annouse our 1st Duct Duct Goose fun run, the start will be on the stunning Bennerley Viaduct heading into Bennerley Woodland, to the turn round point to collect a Goose before heading back alongside the Erewash Canal, back along the Bennerley Viaduct and down into the race village.
The fun run will start as a mass start at 09:00am.
The conditions underfoot vary from canal paths, woodland paths, to smooth pavement.
Entry numbers are limited to a maximum 100 participants, if spaces are left we will be accepting enteries on the day. Please book in advance to avoid disappointment on the day.

Fun runners will retrive their Goose at the half way point and bing back to the finish to collect an ecofriendly medal plus complimentary water.
Rules:
The Duct Duct Goose Fun Run is open to both adults and children.
The Duct Duct Goose Fun Run distance is 2km and takes place along the Bennerley Viaduct, into Bennerley Woodland, then heading along the canal towpath, back along the Bennerley Viaduct to the finish line in the race village.
The fun run will start at 9am. Collection of name label will be open from 8am.
The fun run will not be timed and the results will not be recorded as the event is a fun run.
The fun run fee is £5, the event is limited to 100 participants. If not sold out online we will allow entries on the day.
All entrants will get to keep the goose they have retrieved, at the turn round point and be awarded with a medal at the end of the race.
Parents/carers are responsible for their children at all times.
Minimum age is 5 years old.
Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
If your child is over 10 years old and running unaccompanied, please ensure you take your child to the start line and collect them at the finish area.
Some of the route is alongside the Erewash Canal, this will be marked off with barrier tape.
If the child is running unaccompanied, by completing the entry form you are declaring your child can swim at least 50m should they slip and fall into the canal.
There we be a lead bike with marshals placed around the course with Disclosure Barring Checks (DBS) and a tail runner.
There will be a designated area for lost children in the race village. Please ensure your child is aware of this location in case they become lost.
The Welfare & Safeguarding Lead will be in the race village and available to assist where needed.
By completing the entry form and taking part in the Duct Duct Goose Fun Run, parents/carers are consenting to photographs being taken of both themselves and the under 18’s they are responsible for.
