Spooky Sprint is a Halloween themed after dark event for kids and adults. There are two new events for 2021 taking advantage of the 50m open air pool at our brilliant new venue, Guildford Lido. This gives you 4 events to choose from, catering for those as young as 3yrs.

The Lido offers free parking, changing rooms, showers and toilets. Fancy dress is strongly encouraged but please no toilet paper mummies, we don't want to be picking up bits of toilet paper all over the place again!   

First addition is a sprint version of swimrun, sprint or supersprint options with multiple short swims and multiple short runs.  

The second new event is simply swimming, no running. Enjoy our spooky decorations, including underwater lights, spooky music, spooky snacks in a dedicated swimming only lane. 

Our original Spooky Sprint events are making their return. Choose the 3 mile run/ jog for those aged 5 years plus...

... or the 1 mile walk/ jog for anyone 3 years and over.

Please note children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 16 at all times, we strongly suggest any children under 5 years are suppervised by 1 adult to 1 child.

For the spooky swimrun and the spooky swim, wetsuits are recommened as currently the pool will not be heated during the winter season which starts on 27th September. Water temperature is likely to be 17-19*c but could be lower if October sees colder than average air temperatures.  

Supersprint swimrun for 16yrs plus £15 300m swim, 1 mile run, 100m swim, 1 mile run

Sprint swimrun for 16yrs plus £22 400m swim, 1 mile run, 300m swim, 1 mile run, 200m swim, 1 mile run, 100m swim, 1 mile run

Untimed swimming for 16yrs plus £10 2 sessions available, 7-8pm and 8-9pm

1 mile untimed walk/ jog for 3yrs plus £6 or Group/family entry for uo to 4 people £15

3 mile run/ jog for adults and juniors aged 5 and over £10 or Group/family entry for uo to 4 people £28

Registration and race briefing: Collect your race number or swim band on race evening from 18.00, race briefing at 18:50     

Please ensure your race number is on your front so that we can record your laps and times (NA swimmers).

Important note: parts of the course are off road and unlit, all participants must have a torch (either hand held, body worn or headtorch).

Results will be available online as soon as possible after the event (the walk and swim is not timed).  We will always aim to have results published within 24 hours.
