THE AUCHTERARDER RUNNING FESTIVAL IS BACK!! BRING IT ON.....
Have we missed you all or what?! We're so excited to be welcoming you back to Auchterarder for our Festival weekend of running. And what a weekend we have in store for you. Auchterarder promises to be buzzing for the duration. We have our 10K, Half Marathon and our iconic Double Dare (10K and Half Marathon) events ready and waiting for you and what’s more we are opening our weekend with our first ever Junior Fun Run (for ages 4 to 15 year olds).
So buckle up for ARF 2022!! We double dare you!!

General Event information
Entry – By entering our event you'll be helping to raise valuable funds for our local children. Part of your entry fee this year will be donated to The Community School of Auchterarder School Fund. Specifically this money will be used for the health and wellbeing of our local children who attend the school.
Before entering, please note the race entry terms and conditions - There will be no entries on the day. In the unlikely event of the race being cancelled owing to forces outside the organisers control, we regret that NO entry fees can be refunded after entries have been processed. We do not operate a deferment system. We will offer the following - 50% refunds (minus EntryCentral processing fees) will be issued to any runner who withdraws from the event more than 12 weeks before the event. Refunds will only be given if the event is full and the runners place can be filled from the waiting list. Withdrawals after that date will not be refunded. If for any reason the event requires to be rescheduled from it's proposed date your entry will remain for the rescheduled event date.
Headphones on our courses are NOT allowed (with the exception of bone conduction headphones which are permitted).
Baggage - Unsecured baggage storage will be available at Registration. The race organisers take no responsibility for any items stored before, during or after the race.
Race Briefing – There will be a race safety brief emailed out to all runners the week before the event to go over any safety issues and give the opportunity for runners to ask any questions. The keys points included in this race briefing will be reinforced prior to each races start.
Car Parking – There is ample and convenient parking in and around Auchterarder, please ensure that you park responsibly.
Toilets – Are available at our registration adjacent to race start area

AUCHTERARDER RUNNING FESTIVAL 2022 - DOUBLE DARE
Welcome to our special Double Dare event! This is the place to sign up if you'd like to take part in both our 10k AND Half Marathon! At ARF Double the fun equals triple the bling!
The ARF Double Dare will have you walking, jogging or running our 10K on Saturday 10th September and our Half Marathon on Sunday 11th September. You'll get seperate event specific medals for each of those races, plus 2 quality technical finishers t-shirts PLUS every Double Dare finisher will receive a unique EXTRA finishers medal.
Specific information for all entrants for this event are as follows...
Please note –Runners must be aged 17 or above on the day of the race.
Registration – All runners must register to collect their number and timing chip on Saturday 10th September (Please note - you must keep this number all weekend and use it for your 10K on the Saturday and also your Half Marathon on the Sunday). Registration will take place at The Community School of Auchterarder, New School Lane, Auchterarder, PH3 1BL and will open at 8.45am and close at 10.15am. Please note there is NO parking within the school grounds although a drop off zone will be available. Car parking options are available around the town of Auchterarder. For safety reasons please do not swap numbers with other runners. Runners must collect their own race number and timing chip IN PERSON. ID checks will be carried out so please be prepared for this and ensure you have some form of ID with you. Please ensure personal details are entered onto the back of the number.
Warm Up – There will be a fun group warm up starting at 10.20am each day.
Start time – The races will start prompt 10.30am each day at The Community School of Auchterarder, New School Lane, Auchterarder, PH3 1BL
Race Route - The race routes for our 10K and Half Marathon are new for 2022 due to our new starting and finishing area but they will just be as scenic as ever touring round our beautiful town. Please follow all instructions from our race marshalls as they are there to ensure your safety.
The spectacular race routes will be emailed out to all runners prior to the race and will also be on the facebook page.
There will be a cut off at 1hr 45mins (17minutes per mile) for the 10K and 3hrs 30mins (16minutes per mile) for the Half Marathon.
Hydration and Fuel Station - We're lucky to have the support from our good friends at Active Root - they will be hosting a hydration station on the routes.
Active Root will also be at our start/finish area with special offers and tasting sessions so if you’re needing a refill then this will be your chance to grab a bargain!
Never tried Active Root before and want to see how brilliant it is and train for ARF with their products? There will be refreshments, treats and post race massage available within our finishers area for all runners and their supporters. Goody Bag – This is a goody bag not to be missed! All runners will receive a quality technical 10K T shirt and Half Marathon T Shirt (Yup 2 different amazing T Shirts!); a bespoke Auchterarder 10K medal and bespoke Auchterarder Half Marathon medal. In addition for your amazing double dare efforts you will also claim an ultra-nostalgic Double Dare medal (yes thats 3 medals all in!) Auchterarder Running Festival 2022 - JUNIOR FUN RUN
Our Junior Fun Run is new to our festival weekend and we can't wait to start our weekend of running with this fun event. Entry is FREE OF CHARGE for all kids and is open to juniors aged 4-15 years. Adults are welcome to run with their child/children but please try to not dip across the finish line to beat your child!!
The route is off road mostly on grass, is approx. 1km in distance and will start at 9.45am - starting and finishing at The Community School of Auchterarder. All junior fun run participants will be sent a pre-event email a week before the event with all the details.
Every junior will be receive a medal for their awesome efforts.
No race numbers will be issued and the run is not timed.
