East Fife Aquathlon - Tristars 3
Welcome to the East Fife Tri Club’s Tristars Aquathlon!
The event will be held on Sunday 14 April 2024 at Cupar Sport Centre and Duffus Park Community Hub.
The Tristars 3 Aquathlon is for anyone aged 13-14 years and involves:
- A 400m (16 lengths) swim in the 5 lane 25m pool. Lane order is sorted based on the estimated swim times submitted by participants. Transition is in Duffus park near the bandstand.
- A 2800m run out and back which will take you on a track near Elmwood College and Duffus Park rugby pitches but not onto a public road. Please note this route is mainly on track and grass. The finishers funnel will be in front of the Duffus Park Grandstand. Wrist bands will be issued at lap turn points to assist the counting of laps.
On the entry form, you will be asked to provide an estimated swim time. It is not unusual for people competing in a pool-based triathlon for the first time to "guess" their swim time. Please be reassured, we will accept changes to your estimated swim time up until 26 March. It is imperative that swim times provided are an accurate reflection of the athlete's ability, in order to provide as enjoyable - and fair - a race experience as possible, for all. Therefore, we may contact you in advance of the race to request evidence of swim times, in order to establish that the times provided are reasonably accurate.
