Starting in the Helix Park, running past the Kelpies, over the Kincardine bridge, and following the scenic Fife coastal path towards the Forth Road bridge. Then crossing over the Forth to follow the John Muir Way to Boness before running through Kinneil estate and back towards the finish in Falkirk.

The 4 stages / 3 checkpoints and the finish are

Stage 1 - Start Helix, Falkirk to Culross (Checkpoint 1) -  10.16 miles / 16.35 km

Please note there will be 2 race cut-off times. The first at the end of stage 2 FerryMuir Gate car park after the Forth Road Bridge crossing - Solos, Pairs, and Teams must reach this point within 6 hours of their start time to be allowed to continue. The finish line cut-off is then 11 hours from your start time.

Solos or Teams - Are you up for the solo 44-mile ultra challenge or you may be training for an upcoming half or full-distance marathon - this is the perfect opportunity to add some fun to your training by joining your run buddies to take on 2 or 4 stages of the route as a team relay

More race information can be found on our race website www.forthultra.co.uk Pre-race information including a race briefing will be emailed the week before the event and the website will also be updated with a downloadable information pack.

By entering this event your team will be bound by the rules and regulations of this event - please see the website and information download pack containing these rules. You can also follow any race updates on our Facebook Group Scurry2bridges

Parking / Toilets – This year the council are asking that we do not use the Kelpies car park and keep this available to the paying public only. The main event car park will be at the Falkirk College a 15 minute walk to the Helix Pavilion - where we would encourage solo competitors to park. For Pairs and Teams as you need to move on soon after your first runner, it may be easier to park along the roads entering the West Mains Industrial estate - i.e. along West Mains Road where you can select a path through to the start / finish area approx 600m's away.

There will be toilets at the start/finish area and at the Helix cafe. We will pass on more information on the toilets and car parking locations nearer the time.

Entry Requirements - There are no specific entry requirements for this race however you should have confidence in your ability to complete the distance within the cut-off time. By entering the race, you are agreeing you are capable of doing so. For solo, entrants we suggest that you at least have experience of regularly completing runs of 20 miles. Runners must be 18 years or older. Runners under 18 can apply by specific request through the website link http://scurry2bridges.co.uk/contact/

The Scurry2Bridges Team will look forward to seeing you there.

Forth Ultra - Solo

There are no specific entry requirements for this race however you should have confidence in your ability to complete the distance within the cut-off time. By entering the race, you are agreeing you are capable of doing so. We suggest that you at least have experience of regularly completing runs of 20 miles.

Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Male and Female runners and the 1st 040, 050, 060, and 070 Male and Female runners.

Forth Ultra - Team Relay - Pairs

There are no specific entry requirements for this race, however, you should have confidence in your abilities to complete the distance within the cut-off time. By entering the race, you are agreeing you are capable of doing so. We suggest that pairs at least have experience of regularly completing runs of 10 miles.

The Pairs Relay is 4 stages over a total of 44 miles following the same course as the Ultramarathon. Each member will get a T-shirt and a finisher's medal. There will be prizes for the first male and female and mixed pairs and it's a great way of sharing the ultramarathon experience as part of a team.

To enter: One person needs to be selected as the team lead and single point of contact for further information on the race. The team lead will then need to know the name, email, mobile, DOB, t-shirt size (or as charity donation), *10km time, and running order for each member when signing up for a team.
Changes to the running order or name changes can be made later.

*We will ask all pairs for their last 10km time or approx. time for a 10km – this is to give us the option of assessing team speeds so we can look to potentially send the slowest teams off first.

Running order - you choose the stages for each runner - ideally at the time of entry. With Pairs, you can select any combination - 1 runner can do stages 1-3 and the other stage 4 or you could take alternative stages - the choice is yours.

The relay baton - will be the timing chip.

Getting to and from checkpoints - this is another part of the fun element of your team planning. Pairs will be self-driven so need to plan how you can be at the checkpoints in time.
