County Cross Country Championships.

The Herefordshire County Cross Country Championships will return for 2023 at Lucton School, Lucton, Leominster on Sunday 22nd January.

The County Cross-County Championship is a selection race to compete for Herefordshire in the Inter-County Cross Country Championships to be held on Saturday 11th March at Prestwold Hall, Loughborough, selection criteria to be confirmed. 

In order to compete in the championships, Athletes must:

• Either be born in Herefordshire or have been resident for 9 months or more.
• Athletes must compete for their first claim club and wear their club/school vest.

No Guest Runners will be able to complete at the event

*There will be no entries on the day. 

Race details:

• Race Date: Sunday 22nd January 2023.
• Starting Time: Races to start from 11.00 a.m. please make yourself familiar with the your race start time in the chart below.
• Entries: £4.00 per athlete, race numbers to be collected on the day.
• Venue: Lucton School, Lucton, Leominster. HR6 9PN.
• Facilities/ Parking: Toilets, changing and parking is available at the venue.
• Course Licence to be issued by England Athletics: Licence number to follow.

Prizes: Medals will be awarded to:

• All primary year groups, U11, U13, U15, U17, U20 Men & Women , Senior Men & Women, Veteran Men & Women.

The first three in each age group and the first team (teams of 3 to count)

Terms And Conditions

• The entrant must agree to the following terms and conditions.
• This event is to be held under UK Athletics rules. Race Licence applied for. The entrant agrees to abide by the rules of the event and that the officials' decision is final.
• The entrant confirms that they have no medical disability that would endanger themselves or others by taking part (and will not run if unfit to do so on the day).
• The deadline for transfers or withdrawals for this event is the 20/01/2023. Failure to notify us before this time will result in no further edits or refunds for your entry.
• The entrant understands that the organisers will not be liable for any loss, damage, injury or illness howsoever caused as a result of entering the race.  The entrant agrees that during the race they will obey marshals' instructions. No dogs will be allowed on the course.
• If for any reason beyond our control the race has to be cancelled on the day (“Act of god” Flooding, Accidents, incidents etc) we cannot guarantee a full refund or that the race will be rescheduled. We will however do everything possible to resolve any unfortunate situation.
• New EA Anti Doping Policy
  ‘An entrant shall be deemed to have made him/herself/their self, familiar with, and agreed to be bound by the UKA Anti-Doping Rules and to submit to the authority of UK Anti-Doping in the application and enforcement of the Anti-Doping Rules.
  The UKA Anti-Doping Rules apply to entrants participating in the sport of Athletics, for 12 months from the [date of entry], whether or not the licence holder is a citizen of, or resident in, the UK.’
