The Jake Porter Duathlon 2025

20 Apr 2025

Organiser's Description

Welcome to the event page for the 2025 Jake Porter Duathlon, hosted by the Shetland Triathlon Club. We’d love to see you get involved!

We are back, for our annual season opener Duathlon! It’s a great opportunity if you want to dip your toe into multi-sport events, especially if you are not keen on the swim. The event is held in memory of Jake Porter and raises money for the amazing charity: Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS), who offer a full family support service for babies, children and young people with life-shortening conditions. As always, your support would be very much appreciated.

The event is open to anyone aged 15 and over. (Age as on the 31st Dec 2025). 15-17 year olds will need parental consent to take part.

Event Details

The event will begin with a 3.4km (2.1 mile) run on road/paths, starting and finishing at the Cunningsburgh Hall. This will be followed by a scenic 17km (10.4 mile) bike leg which takes competitors southbound past Sandwick, before turning and heading back to Cunningsburgh. The event finishes with another loop of the 3.4km run.
