The Jean Carr Race 

2nd Leg of the 2024 Fochabers Triple Challenge

Spey Runners are proud to host the return of the Jean Carr race, a 5.5 mile race around Ordiequish woods and past the fabled Jean Carr Stone.

Online - £16 (SA affiliated) £18 (Non affiliated) plus Entry Central processing fee.
Online entries will close at midnight on 24th July 2024

Registration: 11:00-12:30pm, at Fochabers Square.

Start Time: The race will begin at 13.15 at Fochabers square

General Information:
There will be marshals at various points throughout the course. Please treat them with respect and follow ALL marshal instructions carefully. They are in place primarily for your safety.

Public parking is available at various locations throughout Fochabers. Fees may apply. Please park courteously, and consider car sharing where possible.

Prizes for 1st male and female in the Senior, Vet40, Vet50 categories. Race timing will be done manually (no chip timing).
For those who have entered all 3 races of the Fochabers Triple Challenge, finish times will also be transferred to the overall series standings.

There will be one water station on course at or around the half way point.

Organised by Spey Runners under UK Athletics rules. The event is open to runners aged 16 years or older.


The Fochabers Triple Challenge is a 3-race series consisting of the Gordon Castle 10k, Jean Carr hill race, and the Monumental Challenge.
