The Loftus Poultry Run 2024

The Loftus Poultry Run has been held just before Christmas for over 38 years.  It is a multi-terrain event and has built up a reputation as one of the friendliest and most fun events in the North East racing calendar.  

The run is approximately 7 miles along country lanes, bridleways, footpaths and muddy farmer's fields. The course is generally ascending for the first half of the race, and is then an exhilirating downhill run to the finish.  Sturdy trainers or trail shoes are recommended - there is too much road to suggest fell shoes (unless there is heavy snow as in 2009).

With costumes, a brass band and lots of camaraderie the Poultry Run is a great way to get your festive holiday off to a flying start.  Who knows, with some generous prizes of Christmas fayre - including the eponymous poultry - it could be a handy way to stock your larder!

Every finisher will recieve a T-Shirt
