Organiser's Description
The Port Glasgow 2025 10K run is now open for online entries.
The race is organised by Port Glasgow Runners, a running group for people in Port Glasgow and the surrounding area to get fit.
Runners set off from the Coronation Park and then head out along the Clyde to Kingston Dock, before retuning back to the Coronation Park and on towards Kelburn Park via the "Boardwalk". The runners will run around Kelburn Park before returning via the "boardwalk' past Newark Castle with the race finished back at the Coronation Park. The race is run under UK Athletics Rules but is not a measured route.
This race is run on pavements and is suitable for all participants provided that you are fit enough to run/walk 10k. Participants must be aged 15 years old or older on the day of the race.
The organisers are being assisted by an extensive number of voluntary marshals. The safety of all is paramount and it is a condition of entry that competitors must follow the instructions of the marshals.
There are a maximum of 300 entries in this event, only available online, priced £10.
Race Numbers will be posted out to entrants prior to the race. The race start time is 11.00am.
The trophies will be awarded to 1st Male, 1st Female, 1st Junior Male and 1st Junior Female. Medals awarded to all race finishers. The trophies will be presented immediately after the race on the 22nd of June.
Car parking is available at the nearby Fore Street Car Park in Port Glasgow Town Centre (next to the health centre). Toilets are also available on site in the Coronation Park.
