Welcome to The Shetland Novice Triathlon 2025!

This year Shetland Triathlon Club will host the Shetland Novice Triathlon in the North Mainland Leisure Centre.

The event will be held at North Mainland Leisure Centre - the 400m swim will be a pool based swim in a 16m pool, the 10km cycle will take you North for 5km then turn just before the Scatsta Airport Junction and come back to the centre, and the 2.5km run will be run on out and back course out through downtown Brae, turning at the Busta Junction and then back to the leisure centre.

Competitors must be 15 or over on 31st December 2025.

Parental consent is need for competitors aged 15-17yrs.

Individual entry fees are £10 for STC members and £15 for non members.  If you are not a member of Triathlon Scotland or one of the other Home Nations Triathlon federations, you'll have to purchase a race pass, which is added automatically.

Registration: Individuals should register from 9 - 9:30am at  Leisure centre to collect race number and bike rack slots. To help with our organising, please tell us how long you expect to take for your 400m swim.

The Race: The race brief will be at 9.45am which all competitors must attend. 

The race will then start at 10:00am
