START TIME:
Arrival from 5.30pm onwards & start time from 7pm , Registration closes 6.30pm SHARP, Open Water Swim -

Wetsuits

If the water temperature is 16⁰C or above then Wetsuits will be optional for the swim only event. If you choose to swim without a wet suit then you must have a TOW FLOAT.

NO WETSUIT = TOW FLOAT COMPULSORY

Aquathlon – BTF Rules Wetsuits are optional between 15.9⁰C - 22⁰C. Wetsuits are not allowed above 22⁰C (<59 years) Above 24.6⁰C (60 years+).

The Beautiful surroundings at this location is great to take a long distance swim. The water is set in the lovely countryside of west Sussex high hills on all sides, wild birds and the iconic Ardingly College building in the back ground. The triangular swim course is based in the western side of the water and swims out from the Activity Centre to the middle of the water then back along the far side, then across in front of the main wall. All spectators will get a great view of the whole course.

The Swims are on a triangular ourse marked with large yellow bouys 3km= 4laps, 1.5km = 2 laps, 750m = 1 lap, Aquathlon Swim 750m/ run 5km

The Aquathlon is one swim lap 750m, transition, then 2 run laps alone the side of the lake = 5km.

British Triathlon Race Pass (Aquathlon only) £8.00
All competitors must be members of British Triathlon for the duration of the race. If you are NOT a member this fee is added when entering via Entry Central.
Note: swim only events are not British Triathlon events and are not charged a Race Pass fee..

There will be Activity Centre support craft and lifeguards on duty to assist you in your swim.

The Aquathlon run course & 5km fun run is 2 laps of 2.5km mostly on track. Online Entries website is open until 10am on race day.

Entries on the day are currently NOT available and you can register from 5.30pm , last registration is at 6.30pm.
Facilities - There are Toilets, but sadly no changing or shower facilities available.

ARRIVAL; Please arrive in good to time to register, get in your wetsuits- your choice below 22degrees C and attend briefing. Please Note: At the end of the event the venue will close and gates locked at 9pm.

Manual timing - Water entry, water exit. Aquathlon addtionally end of run

PARKING:

Please carshare where possible. There is parking at the Reservoir with overflow space at the Ardingly College. Please park responsibly and do not park on the entry road as this could cause delays for any emergency vehicles.
