Back for 2023! 

Shobdon Wood race is a popular and challenging off-road race along forest tracks and footpaths through Shobdon Wood, just one mile out of the village of Shobdon in North Herefordshire. 

This years race will have the same route as the 2022 race, coming in at 6.8miles/11km.

There are a few hills and stunning, far reaching views of Herefordshire, Shropshire and Mid Wales. 

There is a free race momento and refreshments after the race for all competitors.

For parking please use HR6 9NJ for sat nav . Please allow 10-15 minutes walk/run to get to the registration area.

Registration takes place at the old Forestry Commission field centre, where there are toilets, bag drop off area but no changing facilities. Please take everything you will need to the registration area to save you having to go back to the carpark. 

There will be signposts for the event from the B4362.

There will be chipped timing provided by Ready Set Go!

Please allow a further ten minute walk from registration to the start of the race - great for a warm up!

Prizes will be awarded for top 3 male and female finishers, for all veteran 5 year age categories and for male and female teams of 3 in a short presentation when all the runners have crossed the finish line. There will be one prize per runner.

Minimum age for entries is 17 years of age on race day. 

We regret that we are not able to offer refunds for this event, however pre-registered entries can be transferred to another runner.

Online entries are limited to 250. There will be on the day registration for an extra £2.
