THE SORBROOK TOUGH 10K ROAD RACE IS ORGANISED BY GRIFFITHSTOWN HARRIERS, CWMBRAN,  and will take place on Wednesday July 23rd 2025 at 7PM.   The Sorbrook Tough 10K is a challenging and scenic road race that pushes participants to their limits. This demanding event features the notorious Darren Hill and the steep Sluvad Road climbs, known for their difficulty and elevation. Set against a backdrop of Llandegfedd Lake , the course winds through rolling hills, offering both stunning views and a true test of endurance. Whether you're an experienced runner or looking for a race that will truly challenge you, the Sorbrook Tough 10K promises a memorable and rewarding experience for all who dare to take it on.

We are both excited and incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have this year's Sorbrook Tough 10K included in the East Wales Clubs Road Race Championship (EWCRRC) for 2025. This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in making the event a success. Being part of such a series adds an extra level of prestige to the race, and we are thrilled to welcome both seasoned athletes and newcomers to this challenging and scenic course. We look forward to an unforgettable event that celebrates the spirit of competition, community, and the love of running.

ENTRY FEES

£15 for affiliated club members.

£17 for non-affiliated club members.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS

Welsh Athletics licence standards from January 1st 2025, organisers must provide a list of medical conditions to their medical provider for use on race day.  GDPR regulations must be followed.  This allows for legitimate use of the data in connection with the race but must not be held by the medical provider beyond the date of the event.  This is in addition to the requirement for the medical template on the reverse of the bib number.

CAR PARKING 

There is parking available at Cwmbran Train Station, The Olive Tree & Gwent Crematorium (TBC).

REGISTRATION & BIB COLLECTION

HQ IS LOCATED AT THE OLIVE TREE, NP44 2JJ

Open at 5 PM - 6.30PM for on the day entries and number collection. 

Online with Entry Central up to 16th July.

Entry Central will show the event closed after the 16th but entries will be available on the day.

RACE START:  Tre-Herbert Rd, Cwmbran NP44 2BZ at 7 pm.

There is a bag drop facility available at HQ but all items will be left at your own risk.

Please be aware that the start line is approximately 1 mile from the RACE HQ.

This year we will be including a Sorbrook Slog & Tough 10k drawstring bag filled with goodies for all finishers.

There will be a trophy for 'King' and 'Queen' Of The Darran (first to the top) as well as the following categories (Only one prize per person):
