Ride Information
📍 Start & Finish: The Pelican Inn, Gloucester (details below)
🚴 Format: A self-supported bikepacking adventure over two days, with a halfway campsite provided.
🌿 Terrain: A mix of Cotswolds singletrack, woodland trails, country lanes, gravel climbs and descents… and maybe a bit of mud (who knows?).
📍 Navigation: By GPS device or phone—just ensure your battery lasts the day! A printed pub guide will also be provided, showing distances and key stops along the route.
⏰ Start Time:
The ride kicks off at 9:00 AM on Saturday, July 5th. Since this isn’t a race, there’s no need to rush, but we ask everyone to roll out by 9:15 AM.
🗺 The Routes:
- 100 miles total—50 miles per day.
- Day 1: The tougher of the two, with a mix of terrain to keep things interesting.
- Day 2: A special feature for 2025—"The Dunk"—in memory of Duncan Kennedy, who originally suggested it for this year’s event before sadly passing in July 2024. Naming it in his honor felt like the right thing to do.
