A flat and fast multi-terrain 5 mile race taking in the park, canal towpaths and roads

Parking: Parking is pay and display:

• Crown Street - ST15 8QN (5 minute walk) £1.10 on Sundays, machines will accept cash, contactless or app payment
• Riverside Car Park - ST15 8QW (10 minute walk) £1.10 on Sundays, machines will accept cash, contactless or app payment
• Morrisons - ST15 8BA (10 minute walk) £2 on Sundays, machines will accept cash, contactless or app payment

Distance: 5 miles

Cut-off time: no cut-off time. 

Bag drop: there will be a bag drop area inside the Girl Guides building where you can leave your belongings. However this is not a secure unit.

Changing: there are no changing or showering facilities. Please arrive ready to run

Entries on the day: will be available if the race is not a sell-out. However it has sold out for the last few years!

Prizes: 

Prize policy: the most prestigious prize is awarded where an individual might otherwise qualify for more than one. The exception is the Team prize which will be outright top 4 Club runners

Race souvenir: All runners will receive a bespoke alcoholic memento locally produced near Stone, with a non-alcholic alternative available too

Water station: Water station at the finish 

Cancellation policy: should we need to cancel the race then we will automatically move the entrants over to a new race date with the option of refund or swap if preferred.

The Westbridge 5 is another of our regularly promoted races, and established in the North Staffs Road Runners programme, this fast, five-mile event is virtually flat and a complete change from the challenging Spring Treble series in April.

The term “multi-terrain” must have been coined for this course, with just about every type of surface being encountered from playing field, canal towpath, unmade tracks and footpaths to country lanes and even a short stretch of trunk road!

Timed to complement the annual Stone Festival in early June, the race starts at Westbridge Park near the town centre and runs adjacent to the Trent and Mersey canal south to the historic village of Aston, looping back to finish near the start.
