The Alford Santa Run is organised by Athletics Trust Scotland as part of the Alford Christmas Festival,  taking place on Sunday 24th November at the Haughton Holiday Park in Alford.

For the 4th year, we are delighted to organising this event and all the proceeds raised will go directly towards our Transforming Lives Grant Fund.  

The races will feature the Children's Elf Dash at 9.30am around the ground of the Haughton Park followed by the Santa Run 5k at 10.00am which will go around the grounds of Haughton Park! 

The Alford Santa Run truly is a family event - children of all ages are welcome and there will be lots to do at the Alford Christmas Festival. Please make sure you stay after your run as there will be heaps of festive activities taken place throughout the day in Alford - from meeting Santa Claus, jumping on the Christmas Train, a christmas market and of course the Christmas lights switch on!

As part of your entry fee, you will receive a Santa Suit with hat for the 5k or an Elf hat for the children's dash, a Christmas medal, the complete support of our volunteer team and a goody bag.

 The Alford Santa Run has the following timings:

• 9.30am: Children's Elf Dash
• 10.00am: Santa Run 5km 

 The entry fees are:

• 5km Santa Run - £16 for Adults & £10 for Children (under 13’s) (all under 8's must be accompanied by an adult)
• Children's Elf Dash - £5 for all children (all under 8's must be accompanied by an adult)

Santa Run Organiser and Fundraiser Kyle Greig said “The funds raised from the event will go towards our Transforming Lives project that aims to increase the diversity and inclusion of athletics and running by supporting people with a disability, those who are in poverty and ethnically and culturally diverse communities. We are super excited to be able to raise funds for those in need in the Aberdeenshire area."

For those who aren't looking to enter but would like to be involved, there are volunteering and sponsorship opportunities to help contribute to the costs of the Santa Suits and Medals so that all the funds raised can go directly to the athletes who need it most.
