Organiser's Description
Tal Y Lyn is a stunning glacial ribbon lake that lies at the foot of one of Wales' most iconic mountains, Cadair Idris, in the heart of Snowdonia National Park.
WATER TEMPERATURE
Expect the water temperature in the lake to be around 8 to 9 °C. The temperature varies depending on the preceeding weather. We will keep you updated on the water temperature in the days leading up to the event.
THE COURSE
For safety reasons the course will be
1 Mile - 4 laps of 400m
Wetsuit or skins swimmers welcome. Please don't enter if you don't have previous experience of similar time spent in similar water temperatures.
TIMINGS
- Registration: 08:45 - 09:30
- Swim start: 10:00
Please note that in the highly unlikely event that any swim is cancelled due to extreme conditions which include very high winds, ice, or dense fog impeding the view of the swimmers by the safety cover, we will endeavour to arrange an alternative swim, or date.
