BUCS Duathlon Prep Session

Organiser's Description
On Saturday 9th November, Glasgow Uni Tri Club will be hosting a BUCS Duathlon Prep Session at the West Lothian Cycle Circuit in Linlithgow.
The aims of this session will be:
- Familiarising athletes with the rules and layout of a draft-legal duathlon
- Practicing race-skills such as bunch riding, cornering and transition
- Having a friendly, short distance test-event combining these skills (500m run / 8k bike / 800m run)
This session is open to all Scottish Student Triathletes that are racing at BUCS Duathlon on 17th November.

What to bring:
- Kit for both running and cycling (e.g. trisuit)
- Spare layers (inc. waterproofs)
- Bike shoes
- Trainers
- Elastic bands if used for racing
- Water and snacks
Why Linlithgow?
The West Lothian Cycle Circuit features lots of elements that make it perfect training for BUCS Duathlon. We can simulate tight dead-turns, a fast chicane and wide sweeping bends all in the same circuit. Most importantly we can have sole-use of the track, allowing us to have complete control over the training environment.
Getting there
By car - The track is just off the A706, parking available.
By train - The track is 10 minute ride from Linlithgow train station via the Union Canal. Please be aware it may difficult to get lots of bikes on the same train at the same time.
