Dundee University Aquathlon 2024

We look forward to welcoming you to our 8^th annual aquathlon at the University of Dundee this October!

The race will comprise a 750m swim and 5.1km run on the University of Dundee Campus.

All participants will receive our brand-new finisher tote bag with goodies inside!

 Afterwards, there will also be a medal/prize presentation at DUSA Union for the overall event and each age group.

Results will be posted online (on our Instagram pages) within 24 hours of the event, and prizes will be awarded to the winners.

There are some fabulous prizes on offer. Keep an eye on our social media pages for updates. The categories will be male and female: juniors (17-19), seniors (20-39), veterans (40-49), super veterans (50-59), and vintage (60+)(70+).

 Whether this is your first or 100th aquathlon, all abilities are welcome and encouraged!

We have set a limit of 30 minutes for the swim time so that we can get through the heats efficiently. 

The race distances are as follows:

Event Timetable (Provisional)

• The registration location is the Pavement Cafe. Registration will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will close 45 minutes before your heat begins.
  
• All participants will receive a race briefing via email 24 hours before the event, and there will also be a race briefing on the day of the event.
• Prize-giving will take place in person. Results will be posted on our Instagram pages and emailed to competitors within 24 hours of the event.
  

Toilets and Changing

Toilets will be available in the DUSA Union building and at the ISE Pool. Changing facilities and lockers will also be provided in the ISE Pool. However, we cannot take responsibility for personal items left unattended or in lockers.

Car Parking

Parking spaces are available throughout campus. Please see here- https://www.dundee.ac.uk/travel/parking/

However, most spaces are available in the car park beside the Dalhousie Building. To get there, turn on Hunter Street from the Hawkhill Roundabout and take the first left into the Car Park. More spaces are available beside and behind the main building of the ISE.

Charges apply in these car parks.

A photographer will be on-site documenting the event, which may be used on our website and/or social media for advertising. If you would not like to be photographed, please let us know, and we will try our best to exclude you from this.

Refund Policy At the organiser's discretion: 

A 100% refund (minus entry central card processing fees)will be issued up to 30 days before the event. 

50% refund (minus entrycentral card processing fees) issued up to 14 days before the event.

50% refunds will only be issued within the 14-day period if another competitor on the waiting list can fill your space. 

No refunds will be issued after the closing date, 7 days prior to the event.

SWIM TIMES CANNOT BE CHANGED FROM 7 DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT. Please be as accurate as possible when submitting times, and let us know before this date if there have been any changes.
