RUN LAYER 5 2023

Sunday 30th April starting at 9.00 am with a 1 mile children’s fun run - £3.00 entry fee for the fun run available on the day, every entry for the fun run receives a medal.

5 mile run starts at 9:30 am.

Having raised over £13,000 for our local community and charities, we are very pleased to announce we are back in 2023, hosting the event for a 4th year.

Race HQ is located at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, New Cut, Layer de la Haye, Colchester, Essex, CO2 0EH.

There is limited parking at the race HQ, please park considerately.

Toilets are available at the above location. Unfortunately, there is no bag drop.

The route is suitable for dogs - they must be kept on a short lead at all times and please clean up after them.

A 5 mile, out and back, multi-terrain running event in beautiful Layer de la Haye. There is one water stop at 2.5miles.  Showcasing our village’s beautiful local landscapes with a very scenic run through the North Essex countryside. This will be a fun, friendly, family event organised by the community for the community and is not to be missed.

1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers all receive a trophy plus a team trophy for first 3 from the same registered club and a shield for best represented club - not the fatstest, but the best represented in their club tops. Current holders are GB Bootcamp. 

Prizes will be presented on the day as soon as possible after the race has finished and the results compiled. 

£12.50 for 5 mile entry. 

£3.00 1 mile children’s fun run, this is on the day sign up only, all 1 mile fun run finishers receive a medal.

Race numbers are to be collected on the day from race HQ from 8.15am.  Registration closes at 9.15am.

Results will be posted on the Craigs Events Facebook page and our event photographer will be there on the day taking photos.
