After the last three Dartmoor runs have had 'mixed' weather, I thought a change of environment might fool the Dartmoor Piskies and be kind to us next time.

To that end, instead I am inviting you to enjoy me on a run along the western fringes of Devon, along the rivers Tavy and Tamar to Plymouth.

The route will be a mix of paths, lanes, urban trails, parks and yes some tarmac.

The route is also a linear affair starting at Bere Ferrers Train station and finishing at Plymouth train station.

The intention is to leave at 0930, and arrive on foot in Plymouth by 1230/1300 ish to catch the train back at 1320, after a well deserved beverage.

Those travelling from Plymouth, May want to catch the train to Bere Ferrers before the run, which arrives at 0920, and then literally run home.

The River Tavy has to be crossed at low tide and the tides are kind on this date, so no wet feet!!!

The cost is £5.50 for the run, and does not include the rail fare which is about £6.50 without a rail card. 

Finally, the route is 12 -15 miles, time allowing , and is of a gentle nature.
