WELCOME TO DUTHIE PARK FOR THE SUPER PARKS SERIES WORKOUT NO 1

THE LIGHT NIGHTS ARE BACK

We are so happy to welcome back full daylight evening workouts by heading to Duthie Park for a session designed to get your heart rate up and your legs turning over faster.

We'll start off with a comfortable warm-up jog, plus activation exercises and drills, to get you primed for the main part of the evening.

There are three main parts to the session:

* A progressive run on an undulating 300m loop for approximately 10mins. The aim should be to gradually increase your pace on each lap.

* After a short recovery, you'll be paired off with a runner of similar pace for a two-person relay on the same loop. You should aim to run hard on your lap, then take a recovery while your partner takes over for their lap. We'll do this for aprroximately 12mins.

After another short recovery, we'll tackle a three-person relay on a 100m straight. This will be for 6-8mins.

We'll finish off with a gentle cool down jog plus optional stretches.

The workout is suitable for ALL RUNNERS (regardless of speed, age or experience) 

We are a friendly group and always keen to help newcomers - so come along  - and bring a friend.

Coaching, encouragement and good advice will be on hand throughout.

There's ample free parking and our meeting point will be in front of the Winter Gardens.

Please arrive ready to start at 6pm. The whole session,including warm-ups/cool down and exercises, lasts one hour.

  • All participants must acknowledge that a training session is physically strenuous. As such they must be medically fit to participate and take full responsibility for their own personal health and fitness. Participants are strongly advised to consult a doctor before undertaking any strenuous exercise or training programme.
