GIRVAN HALF MARATHON

SUNDAY 13th JULY 2025 AT 12 NOON

Starting point and registration:   Hamilton Park, Girvan, South Ayrshire, KA26 9HQ

Girvan Half Marathon is run over a country route, from Girvan to Dailly and back.  The course distance is measured and has a SAL Certificate of Accuracy.

The Girvan Half Marathon is run in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the sport's governing body - Scottish Athletics Limited (SAL).  SAL has issued the Race Organisers with a permit to hold the race which under the Terms and Conditions stipulate that:

• Runners taking part in the Half Marathon must be over 17 years old on the day.
• The course is unsuitable for wheelchairs
• Running with buggies or pets is NOT permitted
• It is essential that the Race Organisers abide by these age requirments in order that the appropriate insurances are not compromised.

Enter online by Sunday 6th July 2025.  Late entries will be accepted on the day if the maximum of 150 has not been reached.

• In the unlikely event of the race being cancelled owing to forces outside the organisers control, we regret NO entry fees can be refunded after entries have been processed - we would look for a suitable rescheduled date as soon as possible.
• All entry fees are non-refundable.  There will be NO refunds given once you enter so please make sure you can run on the event date before entering. 
• We do not operate a deferment system.
• We will offer the following:
  Runners can transfer their entry to someone else FOC up until 2 weeks before the race. 
  Please do this via Entry Central.  Log in, submit a change of request for approval.
• Headphones on our courses are NOT allowed (with the exception of bone conduction headphones which are permitted).
• Changing facilities including showers are available in the Hamilton Park Pavillion

There will be refreshments available for runners and families.

Finish:   As you finish you will be given a medal and refreshments. 

Prizes:   

• Cash Prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd Male and Female Only
• Other prizes available for 40, 50, 60 & 70 1st Male & Female Only (unless in top 3 overall,
  and then roll down applies) one prize per person.  
• Prizes will only be awarded to male and female categories. 
• 2025 - Harriers Club Member Prize

Prizes will be presented to the winners of various categories in Hamilton Park, at 2pm.  Only one prize per person, the race commitee's decision is final.
