ALL ALONG THE PROM
Join us at Aberdeen beach for an evening of speedy running on the pancake-flat promenade when we'll be joined by guest coach Sean Chalmers who will guide you through the session.
We’ll be tackling a series of reps over a variety of distances - and the workout is designed so that everyone regroups on a regular basis and no-one is left behind.
The core part of the session comprises 4x2min (1min recovery)/6x1min (1min recovery)/6x30secs (30sec recovery). And we’ll top it off with a single ‘Run to the Bridge’.
We'll complete the evening with a slow cool down jog and optional post run exercises.
This is an all inclusive session suitable for all runners. No-one will be left behind.
It contains our usual winning formula which provides a challenging running workout within a fun and relaxed environment.
We'll kick off with a light jog,some gentle activation exercises and a few strides - all designed to get you properly warmed up before tackling the core part of the session. The workout finishes with a slow cooldown jog and optional post-run exercises.
We are a friendly group and always keen to help newcomers - so come along - and bring a friend.
Coaching, encouragement and good advice will be on hand throughout.
There's ample free parking and our meeting point will be the parking area near the Aberdeen parkrun start (around 200m east of the Bridge of Don).
Please arrive ready to start at 6pm. The whole session,including warm-ups/cool down and exercises, lasts one hour.

As such they must be medically fit to participate and take full responsibility for their own personal health and fitness. Participants are strongly advised to consult a doctor before undertaking any strenuous exercise or training programme.
