Falkirk 7 Hour Ultra Trail Race

09 Feb 2025

Organiser's Description

Robert & Raymond would like to invite you to the 8th edition of our Falkirk Ultra

                                                        "Falkirk 7hour Ultra Trail Race"

Now in its 8th year and growing in popularity our next race will be held on the 9th February 2025. Our Ultra Race is suitable for both experienced and novice ultra runners and is a good opportunity to gauge your training and fitness for the year ahead.  We started this event with the aim for anyone who would like to either race as many miles as possible within 7 hours or if you had a specific goal to be able to take part without the pressure of any cut off times. So if you have never run an ultra, half marathon, a full marathon or any other targets like run a 50km you can do so at our event and we won't judge. Many of competitors have raced at our event and simply run a half marathon and stopped as this was their target. Any time or distance spent on our route is an achievement and we reward you with that with a medal no matter how many miles you run. As to us you are all champions.

The 2025 race will be again be a 7 hour format with the last hour on the smaller lap. On this lap litterly every meter counts.

After feedback from our relay teams we have decided not to open this up. Too many of the relay members felt they had been standing around too long in between and were cold and muscles were ceasing up. If you had a target as a relay team member to run 4 laps then you are still able to do so as a solo athlete and still have a break in between each lap but make it shorter.

Our event is held within Calander Park in Falkirk.

R&R Events mission statement is " We want to put the fun back in to running"

We have held the price as competitive as possible and have resisted unlike other events to hike up your race entry fee. Remember we are 2 guys who just love all things running and will only charge so that we do not kame a profit from our events. W

What you get for your entry £40 race fee:

We will have a First Aid Cover on site for the duration of race but please don’t underestimate the importance a proper prepared race strategy no matter how experienced you are in running ultra races.
The race team will also be patrolling the course regularly on foot and bike, so don’t be afraid to ask for some company for a lap or two if you feel you need it. Can’t guarantee their conversation is great but it might take your mind off things.
Above all else, please keep an eye out for each other when on the course and let us know if you think someone is struggling or needs assistance.
