Organiser's Description
The Glenrothes Triathlon Club Aquathlon, sanctioned by Triathlon Scotland, will take place on Sunday, 5th October 2025 at Michael Woods Leisure Centre.
This exciting event features a 750m pool swim, followed by a 5km run, finishing on the running track at the leisure centre. Competitors will begin the challenge with a swim in the indoor pool before transitioning to the run course, which leads them to a thrilling finish in front of spectators. Athletes can choose the option to take on the event as an individual or as part of a relay team.
Open to athletes of all levels, this Triathlon Scotland-sanctioned event guarantees a well-organized, safe, and competitive race experience. Whether you’re an experienced athlete or new to multisport racing, the Glenrothes Triathlon Club Aquathlon is the perfect opportunity to test your endurance and enjoy the spirit of competition.
LOCATION: Michael Woods, Viewfield, Glenrothes, KY6 2RD
TIME: Registration is 8-8:30 | Race Briefing is 8:45 | Race Start 9am. Prize giving will be after last competitor finishes
SWIM: Swimmers will be seeded according to their swim time submitted on entry central with waves starting from 9am.
RUN: The run will be a 5k along paths around Michael Woods with a spectacular photo finish at the running track.
TRANSITION: Located on lawn beside the pool.
FACILITIES: Toilets and changing area located within Michael Woods.
POST RACE: There will be fruit and water available - maybe some other surprises too!
COST: £33 for an individual | £35 for relay team. As the race is sanctioned by Triathlon Scotland and ran under their rules you will require a Race Pass.
If you wish to join us but aren’t a member, there is an £8 surcharge (£2 for under 24 years) that is paid directly to British Triathlon (we do not impose or receive this fee, this is paid to British Triathlon) and this will be added upon checkout. This fee provides a Race Pass public liability insurance up to £15 million.

Prices
A British Triathlon Race Pass is required for participants who are not a British Triathlon Home Nation member. For this event, Race Pass costs are £2.00 (plus £0.08 service charge) for participants aged 24 and under, and £8.00 (plus £0.32 service charge) otherwise.
