Forfar 10K - Sunday 18th August 2024 - 11am

STRICTLY NO TRANSFER OF RACE NUMBERS

The Forfar 10K is an accurately measured, fast, flat and scenic course organised by Forfar Road Runners. Competitors must be 16 years of age or over on the date of the race.  

The race has a limit of 400 runners and will be filled on a first come first served basis. The deadline for entries is Friday 02nd August (or earlier if the race is full).

• Chip timing by Perfect Timing- Start and Finish
• Entry fee £15 (entrant is Association of Running Clubs affiliated) or £17 (non affiliated)
• Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd &3rd male & female, 1st, 2nd & 3rd male and female V40, 1st male & female V50, V60, V70, 1st male & female junior.
• Held under ARC rules
• Finishers Bespoke Medal

Registration and Start are at the Forfar Farmington Clubhouse, Forfar, DD8 3LD.

Parking: Please note that parking at the registration area is limited so please carshare where possible.

Registration: Opens at 9:30am and closes at 10.30am. Runners must collect only their own race number IN PERSON. Random ID checks will be carried out. Anyone caught transferring numbers will be banned from all Forfar Road Runner events for a full year as this is against ARC Rules and can have serious implications if a runner took unwell during the event. 

START: All participants should be ready to start no later than 10:45am, they will then be escorted to the start line. 

As the race takes place on public roads and to comply with Police Scotland advice - ABSOLUTELY NO HEADPHONES ARE PERMITTED, not even bone conducting ones.  Anyone breaching this rule faces disqualification.  Race organisers accept no responsibility for anyone ignoring this advice.

Entrants who can no longer make the race may be offered a deferred entry (for 1 year only) to next year's event if they notify us via email (use the email function on the Entry Central event sign up area) by 6pm Friday 02nd August.
