This multi-terrain race is a tough but scenic route round the town of Forfar organised by Forfar Road Runners and just short of Half Marathon distance. The race route contains a varied mixture of running surfaces from country park paths, tarmac, pavement, farm tracks, fields and bogs – and a water section which can be knee deep (and ice cold). As a consequence -

This race is NOT recommended for novice runners!

The race has a limit of 250 runners and will be filled on a first come first served basis. The deadline for entries is  Friday 17th January 2025 or when the race is full. Please note there will be NO ENTRIES ON THE DAY and that participants must be aged 18 or over on the date of the race.

The route will be partially marked but it is strongly advised that every runner studies and carries a map of the course. Due to the time of year it is also advisable that you carry full body-cover including hat, gloves and waterproofs. Due to the nature of the course, which has multiple road crossing, THE USE OF HEADPHONES, EXCEPT BONE CONDUCTING ONES,  DURING THE RACE IS NOT PERMITTED. Anyone ignoring this rule faces disqualification.

Please note: We will be operating a cut off-time of 2hrs 45 min.
