Bodenham Bound 2025

The Race:

Join us for the exhilarating seventh annual event, kicking off 2025 in style! This year’s event is raising money for the Midlands Air Ambulance and Harkaway Scout Group.

Embark on a thrilling journey with options of either a 5km or 10km run (2 laps of the 5km course) through the stunning expanse of Bodenham Arboretum. This charity run promises a challenging, multi-terrain experience, with proceeds benefiting these two vital causes.

Situated at the convergence of three valleys, the course will have challenging hills, plenty of mud, and a few hard surfaces as you run the boundary of the arboretum.

The Details:

• Event Date: Rescheduled to Sunday, 19th January 2025
  Orginal Date Sunday, 5th January 2025 (postponed due to adverse weather forecast)
• Venue: Bodenham Arboretum, Wolverley, Kidderminster, Worcestershire, DY11 5TB
• Run Distance: 5km and 10km (2 laps of the 5km course)
• Surface: Multi-Terrain
• Entry Fee: £17.00 online (No entries on the day)
• Age Restrictions: If under 18, the runner must be accompanied by an adult also running.
• Wheelchair Accessibility: No
• Total Places: 160
• Run Start Time: 9:00 AM
  Please arrive early to allow time for sign-in and number pickup.
• Registration & Number Pickup:
  From 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM on the terrace at Bodenham Arboretum. Runners must identify themselves on arrival to collect their running number. No postal entries.

Please note: There are no changing facilities on site. Please arrive race-ready. Respect the arboretum premises by removing muddy shoes before entering any buildings.

Important Notes:

• Own Risk: The terrain can be challenging, especially if the weather is poor. All runners participate at their own risk and should dress appropriately for the conditions.
• Weather & Ground Conditions: Expect deep mud, slippery slopes, tree roots, and icy tarmac surfaces in frosty weather. The route may be altered or shortened if necessary.
• Refunds: As this is a charity event, no refunds will be provided if you withdraw or if the event is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control.
• Alternative Date: Please note that Sunday, 19th January 2025 is the alternative date for the event, following its postponement on 5th January due to adverse weather. As this is the final scheduled date, there will be no further alternative dates. Additionally, refunds are not available as all profits from the event will be donated to support the vital work of the Air Ambulance. Thank you for your understanding and support."
• Timing: We will use a barcode scanning system.  While the system works well it may not be 100% accurate if runners switch between the 5k and 10k on the day. If timing is important, please use your own timing device.
