The Glasgow University 5 Mile Road race returns for it's 61st year on Saturday 12 October 2024!
The race first ran in 1963 and takes place on the outskirts of Glasgow. Starting at the Garscube Sports Complex, it follows a 2 lap course around quiet roads with a good balance of flat running and some hilly sections. The race start time is 12pm.
Online entry is available until the 11th of October depending on demand. There may be the opportunity to enter on the day at the Garscube Sports Complex at an increased price of £14. However, OTD entries are not guaranteed and we recommend entering online before the race.
Registration, number collection, and entries on the day will be at Garscube Sports Complex, from 10:00am until 11:15 am. There will be toilet and changing room facilities at Garscube. The prize-giving will take place immediately following the race inside the Garscube Sports Complex. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: Masters Men/Women, Senior Men/Women
- UKA-certified 5 mile race course (8.05km)
- Scottish Athletics licensed event under UK athletics rules
- Results will be available on Power of Ten/runBritain
