Calling all runners! Join us in 2025 as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Hardwick X-Stream! Whether it's your first time or your 30th, we can't wait to see you there.

This race is perfect for everyone, thanks to its varied terrain. While it might not be a PB course, the smiles and laughter we see each year prove it's a blast! Covering approximately 6 miles of stunning, undulating Buckinghamshire countryside, the course is exclusively set within Manor House Farm in the charming village of Hardwick.

With unique water crossings and diverse terrain, the Hardwick X-Stream promises a one-of-a-kind, memorable experience. But hurry, spots are limited to just 300 runners! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

·       Race HQ : John Bridles (Village) Hall, Hardwick, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, HP22 4DZ

·       Race numbers will be available for collection from Race HQ from 08:30am on the morning of the race.

·       Entries are limited to 300 runners.

·       Minimum age requirements apply (17 years old before 1st September 2024).

·       Please note there is insufficient contingency or profit from this event to offer refunds, transfers or deferrals regardless of your circumstance.

Race Start/Finish

The Race will start and finish just off a farm track, in the corner of Hardwick Village, details will be provided prior to the event.

The Course

The course is completely off road, following an undulating route of approximately 6 miles. It consists of varied terrain that includes; grassland, ploughed fields, farm track, streams and ditches - please note the depth of the stream can vary depending on weather condition and you should be prepared for clothing to get wet, the course may be changed depending on the stream flow. There is a length of farm track, but the course is suitable for spikes. The course will be clearly marked and marshalled.

 

Facilities

Parking is weather dependant and is available adjacent to the race start/finish – please car share if possible.

We rely on the support of the village residents, please DO NOT obstruct access, driveways or make navigating the village dangerous for road users or pedestrians.

Portable toilets are supplied for the event and limited changing facilities are available in the Hardwick Village Hall.

There are no showers.

 

Refreshments

Water will be available at the race finish.

Hot drinks and food will be available in the village hall.

 

Medical Support

First Aid cover will be provided.

Runners are advised to check that their tetanus inoculation is current before entering this event. 

The organisers and land owners accept no responsibility for any injuries sustained on the site or course. 

Runners are advised they take part at their own risk.

 

Finishers Medals & Prizes

All finishers will receive a memento of the event.

Prizes will be awarded to:
First, Second and Third Female.
First Female: U20, Veteran; V35, V45, V55, V65.
First, Second and Third Male.
First Male: U20, Veteran; V40, V50, V60, V70.

Prizes will also be awarded to; First Male Team & First Female Team (see criteria below.)

 

Team Entries

Runners that wish to be included in a team entry must be affiliated and provide their URN as part of their entry.

You must include the team name on your application if you are running as a member of a team.

Teams will consist of a minimum of four people – no maximum. 

Points will be awarded to the first four runners over the line, based on their finishing positions. 

The team with the minimum number of points wins (prizes to the first four runners only). 

The results system will automatically select the first four runners from each team or club. 

Please note, if any club intends to enter more than one team, then the specific team name must be provided by the runner when entering. 

 

Results

We intend to provide the main results as soon as possible after the event and the winners will be announced and prizes presented in the village hall shortly after the race.

2024 event EA Cross Country License: permit approved – waiting on confirmation of number

 Event Disclaimer

You agree that to the best of your knowledge you are fit and well and understand the physical nature and challenges of an off-road running event of this nature.

You agree to abide by all applicable rules and laws. Your participation in this off-road running event is entirely at your own risk. You agree that the race organisers, organisations or landowners will not be held responsible or liable for any injury, illness, loss or damage to you or your property which you may sustain in the course of, or because of taking part in the event.

You agree that we may publish your personal information as part of the results of the event and may pass such information to the governing body or any affiliated organisation for the purposes of insurance, licences or for publishing results either for the event alone or combined with or compared to other events. Results may include, but not be limited to; name, club affiliation, race times and age categories.

You acknowledge and accept that promotional photographs of competitors will be taken during and after the event.

You acknowledge the use of any headphones, audio devices or mobile phones is not permitted in any Cross-Country event (Rule 250 S2(3)), the resulting sanction being disqualification.

You acknowledge that refunds, transfers and deferrals are not permitted.

All participants (including athletes and athlete support personnel) in any licensed event are bound to UK Athletics’ anti-doping rules and must make themselves familiar with these rules. Organisers of licensed events are expected to cooperate with UK Anti-Doping with regards to any code-compliant anti-doping investigations and proceedings linked to their event or participants in their event, and to include the following statement regarding anti-doping compliance, provided by UKAD, within their event registration process:


“An entrant shall be deemed to have made himself/herself/themself, familiar with, and agreed to be bound by the UKA Anti-Doping Rules and to submit to the authority of UK Anti-Doping in the application and enforcement of the Anti-Doping Rules. The UKA Anti-Doping Rules apply to entrants participating in the sport of Athletics, for 12 months from the date of entering the event, whether or not the participant is a citizen of, or resident in, the UK."
