Kirkintilloch Festival Fun Run 2025

This new fun run is being held on Sunday 9 February 2025 with a start time of 11.15am. It will be 5k in distance. The event is held on quiet country roads close to Kirkintilloch and is an out and back route, starting and finishing at Gartconner Primary School. Open to anyone over 11 years of age, the route is undulating and thus more challenging than a Parkrun. The run is open to runners of different abilities but we suggest that you should be aiming to complete the 5k distance in under one hour.

This year the race forms part of a new Kirkintilloch Festival of Running, with a half marathon and 12.5k being held on the same day. Alas, you can only enter one event.

Registration:  Entries must be made in advance and you can pick up your run number from 0945 outside the school. Facilities (limited to portable toilets, no showers) will be available outside of Gartconner Primary School at the club's gazebo. Please note we have no access to the School. The race is chip timed and chips can be picked up alongside race numbers.

Entry Fees: SAL Registered £8, Others £10. Please note that there is NO entry on the day.

Race limited to 100 runners

This race is designed to be fun but there will be a medal to all finishers as a reward for your effort.
