Organiser's Description

After the success of our first Palacerigg Trail 10k, we couldn't wait to do it again!

A friendly run round Palacerigg Country Park, in 2025 we will be raising funds for local charities. Our main beneficiary will be Cumbernauld & Kilsyth care, we will also be raising money for St Andrew's Hospice and the Scottish Wildlide Trust.

This year we're pleased to annouce the event will be chip timed, but we still welcome participants of all abilities, especially first timers!

Route description: An undulating trail route around the beautiful landscapes of Palacerigg Country Park, Forrest Wood and Glencryan, consisting of both single track and forest paths. Trail shoes advised, but any footwear you don't mind getting muddy will do!

Distance: Approximately 10k 

Location: Palacerigg Country Park, Cumbernauld. What3words///flame.love.wants

Age restrictions: Participants must be 16 or over on the day of the event. 

Registration: Pre-entry required. No entries will be accepted on the day. Numbers will not be sent out in advance but will be available for collection on the day from 9.15 AM at the Palacerigg Visitor Centre. 

Race Start Time: 11 AM

Cost: £18 - Includes a shuttle bus from Greenfaulds Station (details to follow) and goodie bag, including one of a kind memento. £2 discount available for SA members.

Limited edition T-shirts and hoodies will be available for our early birds, created by Bionic Brunette. A contribution from these will also go to our charities. These must be pre-ordered by 20th April and will be available to pick up on the day. 

Although we won't be offering refunds, entries can be amended/transferred until 25/05/2025. No amendments allowed after this date. 

Facilities: There will be bag storage available at the Golf Club Cafe, this won't be supervised, so please don't leave any valuables.

Toilets available on site.

Travel to the event: Car parking spaces at the park are limited and we would encourage car sharing and using the shuttle bus where possible. Further information will be provided in the run up to the event. 

Safety: Your safety is paramount to us - we will have qualified first aiders on site and a tail walker to ensure everyone gets round safely. If you do have to retire for whatever reason, please let us know.
