The Two Castles Trails are narative trail races (there are no marshals or arrows, you follow written instructions) following a circular route around the villages near both (for the marathon) Hedingham and Clare Castles. The route is 90% off road on a wide variety of terrain. For your safety you will be expected to run with a mobile of the same number that you have left with registration.

The race starts and finishes at The Belchamps St Paul's Community House. There will be well stocked checkpoints on both routes, 3 for the Marathon, 2 for the Half. This event like all of our trail races will be cupless. Our race cups are £3 available either on the day or from our website. When you reach the finish you will recieve a well earned medal and hot food.

The race is run under permit from The Trail Running Association (permit number TBC).

Start time: 8.30am Marathon 9.00 Half Marathon

Bags will be able to  be left in the hall, there will be someone there at all times.

Timing will be from the gun.  You will have a timing chip that will need to be scanned at each checkpoint and the finish. Please ensure your number is clearly visible on your front. Also be prepared to shout your number at the finish if requested.  We are aiming to post the results on the web later the same day.

Race rules

• Please do not pass your number to anyone else.
• You MUST report to the race organiser if you are abandoning the race.

Withdrawl

In the event of a withdrawl there will be a 50% refund until 6th Jan 2025. After this date there will be no refunds. There are no deferals for these events as deferals impact negatively on the following years event. Places can be transferred until 1st May 2025.
