Ullswater 'Wildswim & Walk, 

Monday 5th May (Meet 9.15am)

Ullswater Steamers, Glenridding, Ullswater, CA11 OUS - This is a pay and display car park, with toilets and cafe on site.

We will be taking the first steamer to Pooley Bridge and then walking back by the side of lovely Ullswater. The steamer timetable may change but we aim for 9.45am (You will purchase your own tickets so the price does not include this). If you want to meet us at Pooley Bridge at 10.45 for the walk start just let us know.

The steamer is a great way to experience the beautiful scenery and an ideal start to our 'Wildswim & Walk' adventure. 

Entry £25.00 *WALKERS - plus dippers - WELCOME :) 

On this wildswim & walk we will be visiting the lovely Ullswater, taking in an undulating walk with nothing but views views views. 

There will the option to dip in Ullswater along the way too, we will choose the best location for the group on the day but likely Howtown. There is an option for anyone wanting to cut the walk shorter to hop on a cruiser back to Glenridding. 

You'll be sharing the walk and dip with a small group of like-minded dippers. Dogs are also welcome.

Plan for the experience lasting 5-7 hours (depending on the combined group ability) with the walk approximately 15km. This walk is along a very well used path but it does have undulations with some rocky steps (no scrambles). Elevation is approximately 869m for the whole route.

If you've already walked 'Cat Bells' with Qswim Adventure then will be a breeze :)

You will need:- 

• Dip kit 
• Swim shoes crucial due to the rocky entry
• Warm drink/lunch
• Medication if relevant/suncream
• Walking boots
• Water proofs
• Rucksack ( shoulder bags not ideal)

Please note that the water temperature will be around 10-12 degrees so dress appropriately accordingly and note sturdy footwear with ankle support for uneven trail paths.
