7:25pm – BRIEFING in beer garden of Curzon Arms

7:30pm – race START

8:50pm – RESULTS in beer garden of Curzon Arms

Race HQ:   Curzon Arms, 44 Maplewell Rd, Woodhouse Eaves, LE12 8QZ

Distance: 5 miles, not accurately measured, 950ft of climb

Age limit: minimum age 16

Race: Stopwatch timing (not chip timed)

Entry: Cost £3 per club runner (£5 unattached, non-club runners) – online registration

Toilets : Available at the Curzon Arms

Parking: Space is limited, so please car share. Parking is available at the Curzon Arms, Village Hall on Main Street, or the Broombriggs Farm car park on Beacon Road. Please do not park on Mill Road as this will obstruct the race and avoid parking in residential streets so as not to inconvenience residents.

Registration: at the registration desk, which will be in the front garden of the Curzon Arms

Refreshments: the Curzon Arms will be open as usual for drinks and will put on a BBQ after the race (cost approx £4/5, please indicate when you register if you would like to purchase food)

Safety:  It is the responsibility of the runner to assess his/her own fitness to run.  Also to ensure suitable clothing is worn for the weather conditions.  This is a fell race with relatively steep climbs and descents. We recommend the use of off road shoes to reduce the risk of falls. Spikes are not suitable. Running with dogs is not permitted. The race cut off is 8:45pm the race will finish at this point and the course will be taken down. Runners may finish the course at their own risk after the cut off but will not get a time.

Drinks stations: There will not be a drinks station on the course, water will be provided at the end

Property: all property left unattended at the venue is at the owner’s risk

Prizes: Will be presented at 8:50pm at the Curzon Arms. There will be prizes for 1,2,3 male and female and 40+, 50+ and 60+ category winners male and female (don’t expect much though at £3 entry fee!)
