Organiser's Description
East Fife Tri Club's Sprint and Novice Triathlon and Sprint Aquabike 2025
The East Fife Tri Club’s Annual Triathlon and Tristars Aquathlon will be held on Sunday 13 April 2025 at Cupar Sports Centre and Duffus Park Community Hub.
We are introducing an all new Bike and Run route with new and improved transition area.
We also welcome back, for the fifth year, the Aquabike race - a format growing in popularity, run alongside the sprint race.
Get your racing season off to a great start by entering one of the first Triathlons of the year comprising a pool swim, scenic bike course and mixed terrain run route. This event is ideal for new triathletes as well as seasoned competitors.
After the success of the children's aquathlon in the previous years, we have been busy turning this into a new triathlon which will comprise a pool swim, closed road bike and an off-road run within the confines of Duffus Park. Entries for the Junior Triathlon can be made here: www.entrycentral.com/EFTJuniorTriathlon
All races will finish in front of the Duffus Park Grandstand.
For those who are new to triathlon East Fife Tri Club offers coached and uncoached sessions which are guaranteed to get you race ready. The coaching will be with our team of club coaches and offers great value for money. For more details visit our website www.eastfifetriathlonclub.com

The Sprint event is for competitors age 15 and above and involves:
- A 750m (30 lengths) swim in the 5 lane 25m pool. Lane order is sorted based on the estimated swim times submitted by participants. Transition is within the Sport Centre car park.
- A 22km cycle on open country roads. Starts with a modest initial climb followed by twice around a loop and a downhill return to transition.
- A 5km run which is a loop that takes you out of Cupar toward the west, down a farm road and then back to transition via a country road and the rugby pitches. Please note this route is mixed terrain. The finishers funnel will be in front of the Duffus Park Grandstand.
On the entry form, you will be asked to provide an estimated swim time. It is not unusual for people competing in a pool-based triathlon for the first time to "guess" their swim time. Please be reassured, we will accept changes to your estimated swim time up until 31 March. Your enjoyment, and that of your fellow competitors is greatly enhanced if you are in the correct swim heat.
