The Kirkintilloch Aquathlon August 2024, run by Glasgow Triathlon Club, caters for age groups TriStar Start/1/2/3/Youths (aged 8-16 on 31.12.24) and also 1 heat for Adults (Go Tri & Experienced) (aged 17 and above on 31.12.24). The event is governed by Triathlon Scotland.

Your Entry includes:

• A race memento for everyone
• Snack on finishing
• Unique, event-personalised Trophies for 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each age group
• Event Photographer(s) will be present - all images free of charge
• Electronic Chip Timing will be used 

You will select the race category being entered from:
   -  Female category; or
   -  Open category

Only people who are female sex at birth are eligible to compete in the Female category. All individuals including transgender people are eligible to compete in the Open category. Responses to this question will enable event organisers to allocate competitors into the correct race category, as required under the British Triathlon Transgender Policy effective 1 January 2023. Always a very popular event, we attract participants from all corners of the country and sometimes across the border too.  Whether this is your first multi-sport event or you are a seasoned campaigner, you are very welcome.  Feedback tells us we offer a supportive, well organised and inclusive event for all abilities to enjoy.   Athletes With Disability are welcome to contact us to see if we can accommodate your entry.

The Kirkintilloch Aquathlon consists of a pool Swim followed immediately by your Run, competing in Heats arranged by age group. The event is based at Kirkintilloch Leisure Centre, Kirkintilloch, East Dunbartonshire.  The Run is around the park to the front of the Leisure Centre.

Registration will be in the Leisure Centre from just after 08:00am and closes at 08:45am.  Race Briefing takes place at 09:00am, with the first heat for TriStar Starts starting at 09:30am promptly.  Heats will progress as per increasing age groups with the final heat for Adults scheduled to start c.11:15am. 

Note that the Adults heat will be split into "Go Tri" for those new to the sport and "Experienced" for the seasoned campaigners who fancy a short early season tester.

PLEASE GIVE ATTENTION TO YOUR AGE GROUP (determined by your age on 31st December 2024) and SWIM DISTANCE when populating your Estimated Swim Time later in the entry details:

PLEASE HELP US BY CHECKING YOUR SIGN-UP DETAILS CAREFULLY:  Eg

• Correct Date of Birth is essential.
• The correct Category is selected (Female or Open).
• It is important for the allocation of swimmers into lanes of equal ability that the Estimated Swim Time (in Mins & Secs format) is accurate for the age group's distance.  Please be vigilant if your participant has changed age group and hence swim distance since the previous year.

Your understanding and permission is sought within the sign-up process regarding the mandatory Disclaimer (which includes Privacy Notice details).  This is the entrant's responsibility to review before accepting the terms.

There are two separate (and optional) checkboxes during the sign-up process asking entrant's for permissions regarding Triathlon Scotland membership marketing and making any event Photographs publicly available.

Withdrawal Conditions: 50% refund if withdrawn prior to 1st August 2024. No Refund thereafter.
