Tri Angus Montrose Novice and Sprint Triathlon

Welcome to the ninth Montrose Triathlon delivered by Tri Angus Limited. We are organising two races on Sunday, 2 June 2024. These are:

1. a Novice race ideal for those new to triathlon, and
2. a Sprint race for those with a little more experience or who are a little more daring!

The races are based at Montrose Sports Centre. The swim will take place in the superb 6 lane swimming pool. The bike route then takes in some of the best views Angus has to offer as it travels out of town onto the quiet country roads. Finally, the run offers participants the chance to breathe in some fresh sea air as it negotiates the beach front. The distances are as follows:

There is a limit of 240 participants for the day and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Closing date for entries is Thursday, 23 May 2024.

Both the bike and run routes have been measured using Google Maps. The entry fee is £48 per person (please note participants who are not members of a home nation govening body such as Triathlon Scotland, will also be asked to buy a race pass to ensure you have public liability insruance on the day of the event.  More information about the race pass can be found on the British Triathlon website).  

There will be prizes for the overall winners and are as follows:

• 1^st Open category/Female
• 2^nd Open category/Female
• 3^rd Open category/Female

Both races will be held under Triathlon Scotland rules.

All routes will be marked out and Event Marshals will be posted at key points along the length of the routes. It is strongly advised that all participants study the route map prior to the race which can be found on the Tri Angus website.

Tayside Mountain Rescue (TMR) - Official Charity Partner

Tayside Mountian Rescue is the official charity partner of the 2024 Montrose Triathlon.  There is no obligation to fundraise but TMR would love it if you could support them, no matter how small your donation. No portion of the entry fee goes to TMR; any money received by TMR will come from fundraising undertaken by participants or by participants pledging support via the optional charity donation box on the entry form.
